Build your Collaboration Capacity Forum

TWLIP Collaboration Forum

On March 26, over 40 representatives from Toronto West LIP member agencies participated in ‘Build Your Collaboration Capacity’, a forum to explore the building blocks of successful partnerships and the challenges that can arise, with a particular focus on collaboration between organizations of different sizes.

The half-day event was facilitated by Amanuel Melles, who has extensive experience working with nonprofits and community-based organizations, building community capacity and supporting leadership development.  Amanuel engaged participants through discussions and activities, drawing on resources from a wide range of sources, including OCASI OrgWiseTEDx talks, and the Collaboration Toolkit, developed by Radha Nayar and the North Etobicoke Local Immigration Partnership in 2011.

By bringing together key stakeholders within our quadrant, representing the settlement sector as well as health, employment, education and social services, the Toronto West LIP is supporting the development of partnerships and the capacity of community agencies to engage in successful collaborative initiatives.
