Supporting Those Experiencing Gender-Based Violence – Capacity Building Workshop Series for Frontline Staff 2019-2020

The Women Against Violence (WAV) Action Group of the Toronto West Local Immigration Partnership (TWLIP) delivered a series of six (6) capacity building workshops for service providers working with vulnerable clients. The Action Group’s goal is to promote the message that Gender-Based Violence is everyone’s issue to address, and support local community organizations to enhance their knowledge and build their capacity to assist victims of gender based violence.

The six half-day workshops were delivered in two (2) parts. Part 1 took place from Sept – Nov 2019 and Part 2 were delivered from Dec 2019 – Mar 2020. Certification were provided to participants who completed three (3) or more workshops.
